Jake on rails?

Hey, look at that. This weekend, I started progressively approaching rails, and have really been learning a lot. I’ve actually finished making my first app!

That’s right, you heard me right, I made my first rails app this weekend. It’s a clone of another app called DropID, which was made in php. Steve Bao gave me permission to clone it, so I did.

It’s going to take me a while to actually release it, into the wild. Dreamhost has been being a bitch, with it’s 500 errors today, so it’s not up. I’ve actually purchased an A Small Orange hosting account, so I’m going to start deploying projects there, and serving the databases on dreamhost. It should work out well, but who knows!

So until then, keep checking jakedev.com for an update!
