Wow, look at that, I can still write!
Ok, screw that. I’m back, I’m going to continue blogging, and I’m not switching over to rails. I had things ready, set and good to go. Then the server went screwy, and I never got around to redoing everything. So I’ve now decided to stick with wordpress, at least for the time being. I noticed that Habari is starting to generate some buzz, and I’ve seen the admin panel, and can’t complain. So maybe I’ll jump on board of that, who knows.
I’ve finally come to the decision, that I can not make decisions. Almost every time I come up with a solid decision, or choice about something computer/net related, I screw something up, or something happens, and/or my time gets sucked out the window, and I end up not doing it. This is really something that I’ve been frustrated with, for years actually. Being a little pissed off at myself, blogging platforms, and my lack of knowledge in rails, php, javascript, and sql, I think may push forward some motivation.
But the thing that pisses me off even more, is the amount of time that I’m going to start putting into school. I recently got my midterm grade. I’ve been putting in the same amount of effort, since freshman year, and I guess the new school schedule doesn’t accept that amount of effort. I had 4 classes a day, before the semi-retarded and completely greedy school district decided to switch classes to 6 a day. I used to be an A-B student, prior to this year, I’ve only had one C, and that was my lowest grade. At midterm, 2 weeks ago, I had 4 D’s a C, and a B. This is something that I’m really going to have to work on, so yeah.
Another thing I’d like to work on, is becoming much more productive. Right now, I expect 3-4 things from myself. I expect to be able to write, for my blog, write for CenterNetworks/HtmlCenter, do my school work, and to evolve. Right now, or at least in the last month or so, I’ve only done one thing. That one thing was school work, which means I’ve not had any time to even evolve, and that’s really one of the worst things imaginable. So I’m going to start working through ways to become more organized, and keep more active in everything I do.
The first things I’ve started to look at, to become more organized, is to get an actual organizer! Real genius thought, I know. By organizer, I mean something like a daily planner, where I can jot things down, like what I need to do, when I need to do it, this and that. I was thinking about getting a Moleskine planner, but I don’t know. There are a lot of things out there, that could possible help. I think I’ll make up my mind soon.
Hmm, so those are basic updates, I guess. I’ve had the strange urge to build something lately, it was temporarily fulfilled by my small runs of ruby madness. But now, I just want to write, I don’t know what I want to write about, all I know is I want to write. I want to write, I want to learn, evolve, think, I guess I’m really just looking for some brain stimulation. After a month of doing nothing but school garbage, I need some real brain stimulation.
On the note of building, evolving, writing, and stuff like that, I believe I found an idea that suits all of the needs. I originally had JakeDev.com, so I could track progress, and write new learnings of programming woes and things that I’d like to take note of. But it seems to be, that it makes sense to make it a wiki. So I’m going to set up JakeDev.com, as a wiki to keep track of, and store anything, and everything that pops into my head. Whether it be something design related, code related, philosophy related, music related, and everything else. I’m attempting to archive my brain.
With all that said, I hope to come back to blogging. I highly doubt I’ll be able to keep my promise, but I sure as hell can try. Posting may be a lil’ light till the weekend, when I launch my new design, which was originally intended to be launched with rails, but I guess it’ll be on the wordpress platform, once again!

Ahh yes, of course! Been a fan for years :)
Though I’ve never really applied any of the concepts. My plan, so far is to try and start using GTD methods from him, and others.
