Anticipation is a killer

As you an see, there’s was a tool ticket above. Now this last week was one of the slowest weeks of my life. There are a few reasons, of which I won’t even mention. But one of the factors to this was anticipation, and preparation for what’s coming on tonight. On September 4th, I decided that I wasn’t going to listen to Tool, until the day of the concert. Well, it’s here. I went 11 days, without listening to one beat of my favorite band. This was fairly hard, but it really wasn’t that bad. Now that the 11 days is over, I’ve almost been re-super-addicted to Tool. Can’t go wrong there!Part of the thing that helped me through the week was the discovery of a new music type, to me anyway. I stumbled across a b and named Isis. This band just happens to be touring with Tool, and they have recently taken the #3 spot of favorite bands, preceded by only Tool, and Alice In Chains. This is really a big feat for a band that I recently discovered. Went from dead last, to #3 in less than 5 songs.

The thing that I like about Isis is the way they play. They don’t really give a damn about time. It’s worthless, so what they do is they start a song, play a bit, sing for like 10 seconds, and then they just play the rest of the way. The whole band is really lead by the drums, and it is a very cool sound. Go check them out on Pandora or something.

Anyway Isis made the week go by a little faster, but also slowed things down a bit. Since I began to like Isis a lot more than I had expected to like them, I started to anticipate, and look forward to them playing with tool, and time slowed to s screeching halt. It kinda sucked, and the worst part is that I was in school for the screeching halt of time

But the time has just begun to speed up, and I’m going to go se them both live. I think anticipation is a killer, but the end result will be beyond belief. I’m seated, I believe, in the back part of the place. I’m in section 106 and that is on the right side of the floor, but up a little off the ground. So if I’m right, I’ll be facing the stage, while sitting, and I’m in 2nd row, so it shouldn’t be too hard to see!
