Starting A Community
I’m not exactly sure when, but I believe I’m going to start a new project that will revolve around a few spots of interest. The plan is to get something going for the astral projection and lucid dreaming folks. It would be mainly for myself, seeing as continuing to learn about these subjects is high on my priority list. So at the moment all I really thinking about doing is a blog type website.
Though a blog would seem good, it would take a lot of work. So I think I’m going to get a few others involved. I’m not sure at all but I would really like to put up a forum, and keep things active. I could write articles for it, and I know that there are plenty of others who could as well.
So the plan is to start a community, put up a well designed blog, forum, and get a good irc chat going. From there I believe it could take off by itself. I’ve never run a community like this, but I think it will be fairly easy to manage, and it should be a fun experience.
So with that said, maybe if you have some experience in the astral/lucid areas, and would like to help run a community, or supply some content, let me know. Send me an email.

Sounds like a cool idea. What are the goals of this community and why will people want to be a part of it?

The main goal for me is to learn, and to allow others to learn the same material as easy as possible.
I think a big part of this community will be the design, and ease of use. Granted forums are almost all the same, I think there’s bound to be a better way of going abou things, and making everything more accessible.
So the goal with getting new people involved, is to make it easy for them to contribute, or read any material, as fast, and easy as possible. In my opinion, people will like the fact that they can get info quicker and faster than other places. I think that is the key to a success in this area, if you look at other communities with the same topics, they are full of great content, and lots of expirience, but it’s just hard to navigate through all of it.
so to sum it all up,
Goal = learning.
Why people will stay: Easier than the other communities.
