Alice In Chains
Now a lot of people know that I’m a huge Tool fan, but not soo many of them know that I’m also a huge Alice In Chains fan. If you look at my last.fm page, you would see that they are both way up on my listening list, but I listen to both of them, a whole lot.
I first started to listen to Alice In Chains, about a year ago. I was given the album, Dirt, and I listened to it,k and loved it! It was pretty good stuff. I was really hoping that I would be able to see them in a live show. But I soon came to terms that that would never happen, seeing as how their singer, Layne Staely, died.
So I figured it would never happen, and then I nearly had a heart attack last week. I was driving home from the doctor’s office, and I heard them say something about alice in chains. I thought I had heard them say “Alice In Chains tickets,” but my mom said they said something about a song name.
So she went in to grab a few pizzas from Papa Murphy’s. I staid in the car and listened to the radio. There were some really shitty songs on, so I turned off the radio, and just sat there. When I thought the song was over, I turned it back on, and the first thing I heard them say is “Alice In Chains coming November 13th.”
I kinda sat there in disbelief for a few moments. Then I waited to call back to try and win tickets. I called in time, but the asshole of a DJ picked up the phone, and dropped it. That dick hung up on me. I was soo pissed off, I had thought that my only hope of getting tickets was gone, seeing as they will be playing at a small night club, across town.
So I found out that tickets were going on sale at 10am, on saturday august 19th. Seeing as how I’ve had a bad experience once with ticket master, and missed out on a small tool concert, I knew how to play ticketmaster site. Basically spam and click next, and you get tickets.
So I thought I was out of luck for getting tickets, but what the fuck!? I GOT THE TICKETS!!! So Monday, November 13th, I will be going to an Alice In Chains show. Hoping it will be a good show, and I’m looking forward to seeing what their new singer is like. This is a long way away, but damn I’m excited. I’m also going to a Tool concert in september, so that will hopefully be a great great show. 2 great concerts, in a few months, I couldn’t be more happy.
